It’s taken me this long to sort my thoughts out after the day’s events, and I’m still not really sure I’ll be able to describe it adequately. I hope that you were able to catch some of it on tv, or maybe read about it in the papers or online. It truly was a milestone in my life, and I think Jord feels the same way. It’s something we’ll be able to tell our kids about, and I can’t wait to come back for the 100th. Care to join me?

We’ve had an absolutely incroyable day today. Very emotionally intense. I need more time to digest the day’s events before writing more, but I promise more details are to come. I really hope some of you were able to catch the event on TV…

We’ll be leaving Arras tomorrow for either Caen (D-Day beaches) or Ypres (Menin Gate, Flanders Fields) or Paris (Eiffel Tower keychains). Will write more then… It’s been a very long day. Miss you all
