It’s true. I really do.

For those of you that don’t know, shortly after I bought my half duplex in 2005 Calgary experienced what is now called a “one in 100 year” event… massive amounts of rainfall that set records. Here are some pictures of different areas in case you are curious of how this hit the city.

How did this impact me? Well, I had to basically gut the basement of the house (my living area), go live with my brother and then some friends for quite a while, and work myself into exhaustion while renovating over the next 5 months while still working a very time consuming and demanding day job… fun! The end result was a much more appealing space for me to live in with some significant upgrades, so I guess I shouldn’t complain.
