NHL 07 Playoffs – round 2.

better late than never, here are my predictions for the second round of the playoffs

In the west it really boils down to Go California Go!

Detroit will fall to the sharks in 5 games, and Anaheim will take down Vancouver in 6. Even though Vancouver showed they could slow the game down to their pace last night I still think that a crack will show up in Luongo’s armor at some point… it just has to. :) I expect Anaheim / Vancouver to get more physical as the series progresses, particularly if the Ducks fall behind.

Sabres vs Rangers

Buffalo is looking unstoppable, and as much as I want the Rangers to make this last (strictly for hockey pool reasons) I think this series is going to be a short one. Jagr has that defeated look on his face again (that interview he gave after last nights game says to me “I don’t know how to beat these guys”), and simply put.. speed kills. Sabres in 5.

Devils vs Senators

I really don’t know what is going on with Brodeur, but he is definitely looking almost human these playoffs. Could it be after so many years on top he is beginning to lose his edge? Don’t bet on it (and I didn’t since I picked these guys to win the cup). He will show up in time to crush the Senators dreams with back to back shutouts to end the series. Devils in 6
