This week I passed the halfway point to my goal for this year. Over 1600 km, so far and I feel that 2000 is easily within my reach. Will I get to 3200? Well.. perhaps that was just a bit ambitious as I failed to take in to account how incredibly lazy I would be in the heat of the summer.
As unpleasant as cramming in to the sardine can that is the the C-Train with hundreds of other people, I couldn’t convince myself to ride in +30 celsius temperatures. Oh well, I am still ahead of the pace I set last year so I can’t entirely rule this out just yet… I’ll just need some help from mother nature.
This morning was another reason to report back to you (but not to my mom, she would have a heart attack if she read this) as I set a new land speed record coming down Home Road. I hate it when people whip by me in their cars (they generally don’t leave me a lot of room) so I usually try and time it so I come down behind them.
Today I decided I would just go flat out and see if I could stay ahead of the car that was coming along just behind me. When I glanced at the spedometer it told me this:

And now, the stats:
Odometer: 4158.5
Distance this year: 1656.6km
