Yoshirolla and his Satchel Search for a New Game
“Yoshirolla peered around the corner cautiously, afraid of only one thing: that he would recognize all the games on the shelf. He didn’t need to see one more ‘Thomas the Tank Engine’ plinko game, another ‘Farmyard Spin the Bottle’, or that latest disappointment ‘Ticket to Ride’. Why hadn’t he just be able to pull a few more shiny rainbow locomotives? Two or three more of those engines and he might have been able to snatch that victory away from his competitors.”

Well, we have found some lovely folks out here in the Okanagan to play games with. Last night we told them all about the Magic Satchel games nights that take place in Calgary and they were pretty eager to get one started here in Kelowna.
And the crazy games people own these days! Whether it is a game like Survive! from their childhood or the railway-building stategy game Ticket to Ride, people sure bring out some crazy games when they know you are open-minded! Thanks Jay & Amy, it was fun!
So there may soon be a Kelowna chapter of the Magic Satchel Games Night! We probably won’t call it “Yoshirolla’s Magic Satchel” because Condoleezza would undoubtedly give us the smack-down for disrespecting her satchel.
Hopefully we can take a road trip up to Vernon soon to check out the big toy/games store there. But Canada Day may involve some Vancouver nonsense. I hope My Jedi Friend is prepared.
Soon, a dance.

Anyone up for a little more email Survive? It sure was fun!
Though, we may have to buy Al a bottle of Appleton’s to convince him that he wants to do all that work again!
not the King
I really liked that game Citadels.
I eagerly anticipate playing it again.
One family’s Citadel games are coming to an end.
I hope the Amazing Rando didn’t make too much of a mess.
I need Finals predictions.
I would like a gumball, but they lose their flavour too fast.
I really did like that game Citadels.

a busy weekend…
This weekend started off with the April installment of the Magic Satchel games night on Friday night.
Prior to the party I ran off to a garage sale my parents church was putting on for a sneak preview (the benefit of being the son of one of the organizers). I went to town on the board games, buying 8 games for the whopping price of 8 bucks. EIGHT! Every game I bought is 100% complete, a definite treat for garage sale finds. Even though some games are from the 60′s, most look like they have never been played.
